BRANDING

beyond the ones & zeroes

stay true.
stay you.

WV Technologies is a First Nations-led company specialising in secure IT asset disposal, certified data destruction, device sanitisation, and e-waste recycling. Beyond the technical service, the brand is built on empowering Indigenous communities through genuine employment and opportunity.

The brief was to create a visual identity that brings technology and the humanity of Indigenous culture together: a modern, distinctive take on First Nations branding that deliberately steers clear of typical Aboriginal visual tropes, while remaining authentically connected to culture. That authenticity comes through most clearly in the logo symbol itself, a bold line built from organic, tight curves that speak to the IT asset disposal process while echoing the graphic language found in Aboriginal art. Throughout the project, WV Tech's First Nations co-founder worked closely with us as a cultural consultant, ensuring every design decision was respectful and appropriate.

The circle, a recurring motif in Aboriginal art, is also purposefully woven into the symbol, representing the cyclical nature of the asset disposal process, and doubling as a nod to "first:" both WV Technologies' status as the first company in Australia to hold NAID-AAA certification in IT asset disposal, and to First Nations peoples themselves.

This is all brought together through a vibrant colour palette and a clean, bold typeface, Onest, a design language that conveys trust and credibility in the industry, while carrying forward the brand's mission of empowering First Nations communities.
